SUBJECT: 2014 Call to Artists - Monthly Beatles Theme Juried Exhibits
Dear friends and associates of Spiral Muse,
This year we would like to host a series of juried exhibits which will foster the work of Spiral Muse Alternative Services; a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing art experiences to all members of the community, especially the disadvantaged. Each month a juried exhibit will be opened to the community at large based upon a theme song written by the Beatles. We are off to a “Rocky Raccoon” start because January is already well underway, but we would like to begin building a list of artist participants and accepting their work for February and subsequent months.
The following is a list of themes and deadlines for the first few months of the year 2014:
January:
Anguiano Art Exhibit continued from mid-December till 1/31/2014
1/24-Artist Submissions Due for February – All You Need is Love
1/27-Jury Notification of Acceptance released
1/31-Delivery of accepted works due for February exhibition
February: All You Need is Love
2/21-Submissions Due for March – I Get By With A Little Help
(From My Friends)
2/24-Jury Notification of Acceptance release
2/28-Artists pick up February work/Deliver March work
March: I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends
3/21-Submissions Due for April – Michelle
3/24-Jury Notification of Acceptance release
3/28-Artists pick up March work/Deliver February work
Non-refundable Jury Fees: $10 per piece or $25 for three pieces
Limits: 3 pieces per Artist-may be 2-D, 3-D, or Mixed Media
2-D must be framed and ready to hang
3-D must be less than 50 lbs
All jury fees received will be donated to Spiral Muse Alternative Services.
Spiral Muse Gallery will deduct a 35% commission from the retail price of each item sold.
